SOUL Buddies Juniors

New for 2023 thanks to a grant from the Barrington Junior Women's Club!

 

The SOUL Buddies Juniors program will cater to Barrington School District 220 middle school students, 7th-8th grade, to introduce them to animal-assisted therapy and handling therapy dogs, mini therapy horses, mini therapy donkeys, mini pigs, and a rabbit.

We will teach them how to safely and properly handle our therapy animals. We will also prepare them for more advanced training in the SOUL Buddies Animal Therapy Club, an officially sanctioned club at Barrington High School.

 

We will offer 2 sessions of training at SOUL Harbour Ranch (limit 1 session per person)

DATE OF 1st SESSION: Friday July 28th 10am-12pm (maximum 20 students)

DATE OF 2nd SESSION: Saturday July 29th 10am-12pm (maximum 20 students)

Attendees will choose 1 session to attend, which will include lunch and a special SOUL Buddies "swag" gift.​

​

We will also provide a "therapy visit opportunity" for SOUL Buddies Juniors at a local Barrington nursing home.

DATE OF VISIT: Saturday August 5th 11am-12pm
