Fun Facts: Betty is named after the late actress Betty White. Betty White was an active advocate for animal rescue and adoption and many rescue organizations, including Fetching Tails who rescued Betty from a shelter in Texas, had fundraising and adoption events in her honor after she passed away. Adopted as an older dog, Betty is just as sweet as can be. Her age is completely unknown so we call her “Forever 8.” Betty doesn’t bark but makes up for that with the amount she sheds; characteristics of both shepherds and corgis. Betty had big shoes to fill; Kathy’s previous therapy dog, Daisy, had 14 wonderful years of therapy work before she crossed the rainbow bridge at nearly age 18.
